DVMTA has so much to offer! General meetings provide tremendous learning opportunities as we gain insight from each other and from other professionals in our field. Our social activities give us opportunities to network, problem solve and simply enjoy getting to know each other better. Best of all, our events, described here in the newsletter, provide even the most reluctant, struggling student opportunities to shine!
I highly encourage EVERY DVMTA teacher to get students involved with our first event of the year, Music Marathon, which will take place on October 20th. Your membership pays for itself in this event, because we provide the venue for your fall recital! Students pay a small fee to participate, which is a win – win, because this money is then used to award deserving students later in the year at Awards in Excellence and Awards Plus! No matter how small your studio or how inexperienced your students, this is an event for everyone! Small studios can easily be grouped together for a larger recital as needed! Read more about this and other events below.
I also hope to see you at the August Kick-off Brunch! This is a great opportunity to meet with the other members and get information about this year’s events! We’ll have a whale of a good time as we share our pearls of wisdom!
