August Brunch was very different for members this year. Instead of reconnecting with our DVMTA friends and enjoying delicious food together, members met virtually in an online meeting, due to COVID-19. Even though we could not be together physically, we still had a great time visiting and discussing this year's meetings and events, and new DVMTA President, Lori Weidemann, introduced the theme "Better Together." One of the great strengths of DVMTA is its members who support and help each other, and in these difficult times when many must be apart physically, we can still connect and nurture our professional and personal relationships, and keep DVMTA strong.
Along with the theme introduction, committee chairpersons introduced this year's events, and general meetings topics were given. We look forward to a year of growth and development, despite the challenges we face! To conclude the meeting, several DVMTA teachers spent a few moments describing their current teaching structure, whether it's online or in person, and shared successes they have had. Thank you to all who participated.
