​Please follow registration instructions found in Member Documents and download the registration form. Pay close attention to the Teacher Requirements for entering. Send registration by email, or mail, to the Awards in Excellence Committee Chair, or bring to the January or February General Meeting.

​Registration fees may be paid by check or cash, and included with the registration form.

Awards in Excellence is the annual piano competition for students of DVMTA teachers.  The purpose of the event is to award deserving students for continuing music education. Participants benefit greatly from the thorough preparation, focused performance and constructive judge’s comments. Honorable mention students receive a trophy, and winning students receive a trophy and cash prize, and perform in the Winners Recital. Registration fees for this event vary for each student level.

Qualifying students may apply for the Janeen Noble Outstanding Music Student Award through Awards in Excellence.
