Cavalcade Music Read Through at My First Piano, Mesa

This is one of our most fun General Meetings each year. Teachers had the opportunity to preview the duet music for the upcoming Cavalcade of Rhythm ensemble, held in February 2017. The theme this year is "Magical Melodies" and our fabulous Cavalcade Committee  spent the summer preparing this great music.

​DVMTA's Annual all-day recital was a great success! We had 579 students participate, from 44 DVMTA teachers. Recital venues included Superstition Springs Mall, My First Piano, AZ Piano, The Citadel Assisted Living Facility, and Brookdale-Park Regency Assisted Living Facility. Thank you to Tamara Pew and Meredith Ferrin for organizing, and to their committee for their help!

"Studio Finance and Tax Preparation" by Richard & Kelly Lowry of K&R Tax

Thanks to Rich and Kelly Lowry for presenting "Studio Finance and Tax Preparation" at our September General meeting.  They focused on providing details for expenses that can be considered for write-off purposes when filing your taxes, and gave options for ways to report your income when filing taxes. 

Welcome to DVMTA's 2016-17 Year.

Members and guests had a wonderful time visiting, enjoying delicious food, and receiving information for upcoming events and meetings this year. Event committees gave great presentations detailing each event, its purpose, important dates, and tips to help prepare teachers and students. We look forward to having many participate. A special thank you to Karen Udall, Linda Carpenter and the August Brunch committee for the food, decorations, and fun! 

The DVMTA theme this year is "Moments that Matter". Teachers are invited to look for the special moments that occur as we teach, guide and mentor each student to their fullest potential, and also build unique relationships that will last far beyond the teaching years.
