The last DVMTA member gathering of the year is the April Brunch, and it's a wonderful time of reminiscing together about the events of the past year. Members share successes and begin to plan for some relaxation during the summer before looking to the new year.
We met on Friday, April 26th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed a delicious brunch followed by remarks from our outgoing DVMTA President, Tammy Shorts. Tammy has served with her Executive Board and Committees for the past two years and as the reigns of DVMTA are turned over to a new group of talented members, we thank her. She has been a steadying hand as we have tried to continue the DVMTA legacy of student achievement and teacher development. Many thanks to the Executive Board, Tammy Shorts, Toni Tetreau, Lorri McHardy and Randi Buell, and to all the Board and Committee members who have given time and attention to every detail. We are truly blessed with amazing members who give. Tammy personally thanked the Board members and welcomed in the new Executive Board: President, Lorri McHardy; Vice-President, Diana Palmer; Treasurer, Carolyn Rooder; and Secretary, Wendi Heslop. We are excited to support them as they continue to guide and direct DVMTA. Thanks to Kelli Riding and her committee for organizing the Brunch, and for the delicious food!
