Awards in Excellence is the annual piano competition for students of Desert Valley Music Teachers Association teachers. The purpose of the event is to give awards for continuing music education for deserving students. Auditions are held in mid-April, with a Winners Recital held the following weekend. Participants benefit greatly from the thorough preparation, focused performance and constructive judge’s comments. Cash prizes and trophies are awarded to winners.
